CIDC staff and associates provide expert support for infectious disease projects involving knowledge exchange, dissemination of leading edge research, and knowledge translation from research to practice.

Some of the ways in which this is accomplished include:

  • provide project management on a wide variety of topics with various project sizes 

  • organize meetings, workshops and events

  • provide training and continuing medical education through webinars, seminars, virtual and in-person exchanges

  • serve as secretariat for partnerships and alliances in research, disease prevention promotion and education

  • support the development of educational/informational media

  • undertake epidemiological research, national surveys of stakeholders, literature reviews

  • conduct regional and local focus group sessions, public consultations

  • promote novel strategies to reach diverse communities for improved understanding and awareness of infectious disease control issues, vaccination and screening

  • disseminate infectious disease knowledge through professional networks, social networks and public access mechanisms

  • coordinate funding proposal submissions
